NDP’S GEORGINA JOLIBOIS SHERI BENSON AND ERIN WEIR HOST PROVINCE WIDE “TELEHEALTH DISABILITY TAX CREDIT SEMINAR BY NDP’S PETER JULIAN” AT THE LA LOCHE HEALTH CENTRE

LA LOCHE — In collaboration, NDP Members of Parliament Georgina Jolibois (Desnethé—Missinippi—Churchill River), Sheri Benson (Saskatoon West) and Erin Weir (Regina- Lewvan) are organizing a province wide Telehealth seminar on the Disability Tax Credit (DTC). Every year, many Canadians do not apply for the DTC, which offers substantial assistance to people who face difficulties in their daily activities.

The Telehealth Disability Tax Credit Seminar by NDP MP Peter Julian will broadcast on January 20, 2017 at 1:15 p.m. Please call 306-822-2345 to reserve your seat at the La Loche Health Centre.

The Telehealth Disability Tax Credit session will be offered to Keewatin Yatthe Regional Health Authority, Athabasca Health Authority, Cypress Health Region, Region, Five Hills, Health Region, Heartland Health Region, Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region, Kelsey Trail Health Region, Prairie North Health Region, Prince Albert Parkland Health Region, Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region, Saskatoon Health Region, Sun Country Health Region, Sunrise Health Region, Saskatchewan Cancer Agency as well as RHN partners, First Nations’ and Independent health providers.

Please RSVP with your local Telehealth coordinator by January 19, 2016 and ask to join session # 915326 (Seminar on Disability Tax Credit Forms).

‟The disability tax credit can amount to a large sum per year per person,” said MP Julian. ‟If you have forgotten to claim it in the past, you can request an adjustment and claim it retroactively as far back as 10 years.”

DTC eligibility is based on the level of difficulty you face in your daily activities: walking, eating, seeing, hearing, or maintaining bowel or bladder functions.

‟If you want to know whether you or someone close to you is eligible, you should participate in the upcoming seminar that we are holding with our NDP colleague Peter Julian, who is an expert on the topic,” added the MP Jolibois.
