MP Jolibois Encourages Groups and Businesses in Northern Saskatchewan to Apply for Canada Summer Jobs

LA LOCHE, SK – NDP MP Georgina Jolibois (Desnethé—Missinippi—Churchill River)  is calling for groups and businesses across Northern Saskatchewan to apply for funding through the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

“Investing in our young people is a great way to boost our local economy and build a brighter future for the North,” said Jolibois. “These jobs are a great way for young people to enhance their resumes, to earn some extra income, and they help businesses fill gaps during the busy summer months.”

The application period for employers will run until January 25, 2019. Last year, the program invested $392,815 and created 174 jobs in Northern Saskatchewan.

“I’m really excited because this year it’s not just university students who can apply,” added Jolibois. “Anybody between the ages of 15 and 30 who are legally allowed to work in Canada can apply. This is a great opportunity for many small businesses and organizations across Northern Saskatchewan.”

Interested organizations are encouraged to contact Service Canada and apply online. They are also welcome to contact the office of MP Jolibois for assistance:
